Pair Antique 19th C Italian Figured Walnut Single Beds Carved Cartouche
Elegant matched pair of 19th-century Italian single beds, constructed in richly figured walnut with tall paneled headboards, matching footboards and shaped side rails.
Each headboard rises to an arched cornice centered by a carved scrolling cartouche-form crest and finial. Broad recessed panels display the walnut’s warm color and attractive natural figuring. Corresponding paneled footboards repeat the graceful arched outline, while turned feet complete the refined design.
The matching pair would be particularly attractive in a traditional guest room, historic home or designer interior. Their unusually narrow proportions also make them suitable for a smaller bedroom where two full-width modern twin beds might be too large.
