Elegant mid-19th century French Louis Philippe period commode, featuring a beautiful mahogany case with rich grain movement and original marble top. The design follows classic Louis Philippe form—clean architectural lines softened by subtle curves and balanced proportions.
The chest offers excellent storage, beginning with an ogee-profile frieze drawer over three full-width drawers, plus a fourth concealed drawer integrated into the base molding, a hallmark of higher-quality 19th century French cabinetry. The commode rests on solid block feet and retains its warm period patina.
