Georgian Style High Back Curved Settee in Old Paint. The high curved back with large wings and upswept arms, patinated brown painted finish. Late 18th/19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 67 high x 68 wide x 26 inches deep.}
This is an extraordinary piece of history, very rare to find in the US, probably Cornish or may Welsh. I can just picture the sea captains coming into Penzance, Southern Cornwall in the evening and sitting at this bench in the local pub.
